Help! I broke my t-shirt!

You should not wash your t-shirt on a hot wash and you should not tumble dry your t-shirt due to the vinyl adhesive being heat activated. The heat from a hot wash or tumble dry will cause the vinyl to de-laminate from your t-shirt like this...

With a bit of luck you may be able to save your t-shirt from this disaster.

Place the t-shirt on an ironing board and lay a sheet of greaseproof paper over the transfer.

Carefully but firmly press down with a HOT iron and no steam.

When you remove the iron and greaseproof paper your vinyl design and with a bit of luck your vinyl design should be somewhat restored.

Chances are however you will have at least some damage, as can be seen in this case, in a bit of 'pinching' just above the characters glasses.

The final step is to make a mental note, not to hot wash or tumble dry your t-shirt. :)
